Using mangocontact
You can use mangocontact freely, with or without telling anyone. There's no account to create, no contract to sign. By loading the page, you accept these terms. If you don't, please don't use the service.
What you agree not to do
You agree to use mangocontact only for legitimate, person-to-person contact sharing. Specifically, please don't:
- Share information that isn't yours, or that you don't have the right to share
- Use the service to harass, defraud, impersonate, or distribute illegal content
- Try to break the encryption, brute-force codes, or otherwise attack the service or its other users
- Run automated scripts to create sessions in volume
- Resell, white-label, or commercially redistribute the service without permission
- Tamper with, click-fraud, block in a deceptive way, or otherwise abuse the advertising on the site
If we detect abuse from an IP, we may rate-limit or block it. If you think you've been blocked unfairly, get in touch.
Third-party services on this site
To run the site we use a small number of standard third-party services — analytics, performance/security, advertising, fonts. Each has its own terms and privacy policy. Using mangocontact means you also accept those, as described in our privacy policy and data policy.
Advertising
The site is supported by ads. We don't endorse the content of any specific ad and we're not responsible for the products or services advertised. If you see an ad that violates the law or our partners' policies, please report it to the relevant ad network or to us.
What we do (and don't) promise
mangocontact is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it running and secure. Specifically, we promise:
- The contact info you put inside a session is encrypted with industry-standard encryption while in our memory
- We don't store the contact info you share after the session ends — by design, the storage doesn't exist
- We don't sell, share, or analyze the contents of your sessions
We don't promise:
- 100% uptime — networks and infrastructure providers have bad days
- That the service will exist forever — if we ever shut it down, the homepage will say so in advance
- That the service is fit for any specific regulated purpose (medical, financial, legal compliance) — talk to a professional for those
- Anything about the conduct of third-party advertisers, analytics providers, or networks beyond what those companies themselves promise
Liability
mangocontact is offered without warranty. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from use of the service. You're responsible for the information you choose to share and with whom.
Intellectual property
The mangocontact name, logo, and visual design are ours. The underlying code may be open-sourced in the future; until then, all rights reserved. Content you type into a session belongs to you — we don't claim any rights to it (and we couldn't keep it anyway).
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. We can also stop offering it at any time. Active sessions belonging to a user we've blocked may be ended immediately.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the service operator is based. If a court finds any clause unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
